Το 2005 έκδωσε το best reader Free Medical Information: Doctor=Publisher(pdf). To 2006 δημιούργησε το Amedeo Textbook Award. Με την συλλογή χρημάτων από χορηγίες θα διατεθούν χρηματικά βραβεία για 50 γιατρούς που θα γράψουν ελεύθερα ιατρικά εγχειρίδια, free medical textbooks. Το ενδιαφέρον είναι ότι τα βιβλία που ήδη έχουν εκδωθεί από το amedeo project μπορεί κάποιος να τα μεταφράσει στη γλώσσα του κρατώντας για αυτήν την γλώσσα το copyright(εξαιρούνται μόνο οι 3 γλώσσες που θα επιλέξει ο author). Αυτή τη στιγμή υπάρχει διαγωνισμός για τη συγγραφή 3 βιβλίων

Amedeo Challenge will

- collect 1,000,000 €,
- create 50 awards of 20,000 € each, and
- find the physicians who will write and publish free medical textbooks.

The Amedeo Awards will be funded by donations and exclusive sponsorships. A total of 50,000 Euro has already been allocated for three textbooks on

- Viral Hepatitis (Deadline: 31 January 2008)
- Antibiotic Therapy (Deadline: 31 August 2007)
- Tuberculosis (Deadline: 31 March 2007)

We invite medical teams from all over the world to participate in one of the contests. The first three groups will win 80 %, 16 %, and 4 % of the corresponding award, respectively (see Rules and Conditions). In addition, all textbooks will achieve global attention as we will announce them via the following communication channels:

- Homepage of Free Medical Journals (>11,000 visitors/day)
- Homepage of FreeBooks4Doctors (>4,000 visitors/day)
- Citation in Free Medical Information (>200,000 downloads in 17 months)
- Recommendation in the weekly Amedeo Newsletters (>130,000 subscribers)

A detailed description of how physicians can proceed to write and publish their own textbooks has recently been published in Free Medical Information.

In addition, AMEDEO presents
weekly overviews of the new publications (example HIV Infection) and
the last 12 to 24 months of medical literature grouped by journals (example Critical and Intensive Care).
